Woodrow High House: My Reward Trip Experience by Godwin (Aged 10)

Our #FBBSchools participants were given the opportunity to go on a residential weekend reward trip to Woodrow High House because of their hard-work and dedication to FBB over the past year. Godwin wrote a short piece about his experience over the weekend to share with the FBB Family.

I went on an FBB reward trip to Woodrow High House with my friends Temidire, Lucas, Tyreece and Tyreke from St Johns, plus kids from two other London primary schools, Griffin and Sandringham.  I enjoyed everything but my favourite part was when we learnt how to survive in the forest. The instructor Karen showed us how to eat a stinging nettle without hurting ourselves. She even made popcorn and shot a bullseye in archery!

I made friends with the other kids from other schools and I worked well with them. In the football tournament, my team won 7-3 in the final. My team was Marcus (Sandringham) in goal, Tyreke (St Johns) in defence, Nathan (Griffin) on the left, me on the right and Jayden (Griffin) in the attack. We didn’t really know each other at first but we talked and bonded together and now we’re friends. We were losing 2-0 in our first match and 3-0 in another one but I told the others not to give up and we ended up winning.
