FBB Schools: Students visit Wembley en masse for Women’s FA Cup final!

On Saturday 14th May, participants from the FBB Schools programme travelled en masse to Wembley for the first time to watch the Women’s FA Cup Final. With over 90 young people in attendance, and with most of them watching their first live football match and making their first trip to Wembley, it was an uplifting afternoon, which also saw a record crowd in attendance for the Women’s FA Cup Final.

As the Head of Delivery, Jasper Kain says “it was wonderful to bring our participants together from different parts of London. Our coaches see them each week at their respective schools but we rarely get the chance to bring the participants together. It was great to see how much fun they seemed to have and how they quickly became friends. A big part of our methodology at FBB is to give opportunities to young people to stimulate their learning, broaden their horizons and allow them to express themselves. Days like today enable them to do so!”

The day was made even better when our FBB Comms team won the Twitter photo competition and won a signed Arsenal shirt for the charity in the process. Well done to Tom Perez and his team!
