We are looking for someone in a Head of Fundraising role at FBB to grow and develop our fundraising strategy.

The successful candidate should demonstrate experience of succeeding in a high-value fundraising role, whilst gaining and sustaining a network of contacts and partners and bringing in revenue across corporates and/or individuals.

Our ideal candidate has experience of planning and implementing fundraising strategies, proven experience of hitting ambitious fundraising targets and KPIs and history of securing business, preferably at a 6-figure-level.

You will oversee the development and improvement of the existing events and individual giving strategy, develop clear plans and objectives to meet individual and team goals whilst also managing income generation.

It is key that you will be able to oversee growth of charity’s annual income as well as developing sustainable, high-value funding opportunities through warm leads and existing partners as well as from scratch. Applicants should demonstrate that they will be able to build a clear knowledge of target companies and the ability to use innovative methods to secure corporate funders and establish new funding opportunities through existing relationships.

As Football Beyond Borders seeks to secure funding for national expansion, you will be responsible for line management of events and individual giving, trusts and corporate partnerships fundraiser, including leading the development of events and activities to raise the profile of FBB.

The Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner scheme is a unique opportunity for passionate, committed and ambitious members of the community wanting to make a difference in supporting young people’s wellbeing and mental health. The desired applicant should have experience working with adolescents and be determined to pioneer a new form of therapeutic support across our schools.

Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field e.g. Psychology, and have some form of qualification in adolescent counselling or therapy. You should be digitally proficient and passionate about furthering the lives of young people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. FBB is looking for experience and skills that correlate with those needed to work with children and young people who present challenging behaviour and who have complex social, emotional and learning needs, in addition to having worked in a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency setting with a variety of professionals

Football Beyond Borders will develop the successful candidate into a Therapeutic Practitioner, accredited with UKCP/BACP qualifications. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to develop, grow, take on feedback and find a balance between  training and development across a three year period, in which you will undertake training. 

You will be working directly across our FBB Schools programme to provide tailored therapeutic support for our participants who are at risk of school exclusion. They will do so in a creative and relational approach whilst only considering their own consciousness in a therapeutic space. Unusually within the space, our therapeutic interventions with young people last for a full academic year meaning you will have the opportunity to develop truly transformational relationships with your caseload.

As part of the role, you will also be provided with reflective practice, personal therapy and clinical supervision by experienced Psychotherapists on our team.

Educational Assistant

We are looking for an ambitious person with a strong commitment to working alongside and progressing the wellbeing of young people. Applicants should have experience of delivering educational or sports-related sessions to young people between the ages of 10-16. As an Educational Assistant, you will work with participants who have the potential to be successful but find themselves disengaged, requiring support or coming from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This role will involve delivering up to seven sessions per week, working with young people that are passionate about football and engage in FBB sessions, both in and out of a classroom setting.

We hold one to one interventions which you will lead, whilst supporting the FBB Project Lead in terms of participant engagement, performance and outcomes. It is expected that you will be able to maintain a fun and safe learning atmosphere, whilst building positive rapports, both with colleagues and young people.

It is paramount that you have a willingness to take on and respond to feedback. You should use your judgement to act appropriately in a school setting and consult your Project Lead if you require support or feedback.

You will work alongside Project Leads to deliver engaging sessions, both as part of a group and with participants individually. Due to the nature of our delivery within schools, it is likely that the successful applicant will have a background in working with young people, education, sport or therapy, as Football Beyond Borders seeks to combine these elements in our sessions. Additionally, it is expected that you will contribute to the development and drafting of progress reports on the students contained in your FBB Schools programmes.

As well as delivering our Classroom and Coaching Curriculum, you will join FBB participants on our remarkable reward trips to the likes of Wembley Stadium and the Emirates. Events also include collaborations with Premier League footballers and leading sportswear and sports-fashion brands.

Senior Educational Practitioner

As a Senior Educational Practitioner, you will lead on delivering sessions to high-potential, but disadvantaged, young people as part of our FBB Schools programme. Applicants should have at least two years experience delivering educational or sports-based to young people aged 10-16.

The role entails leading on the delivery of up to six FBB Schools programmes alongside our partner schools, with up to 98 students. Additionally, you will evaluate and monitor individual sessions, participant performance and programme outcomes on a regular basis. It will be your duty to track, draft and submit progress reports on the students contained in your FBB Schools programmes and, consequently, contribute to the development and drafting of progress reports on the students contained in your FBB Schools programmes.

SEP’s will oversee the members of FBB staff in each of your designated partner schools, providing feedback accordingly, identifying any strategies in our programme, specifically concerning participants that are most at risk of exclusion and those who require specific interventions and support. The Head of Interventions and our specialist therapeutic team will work alongside the successful candidate to design and develop interventions. 

As well as an ability to build rapports with your staff members, it is vital that you are able to relationships with partner teachers and SLT at our partner schools and with participants’ parents and are able to act shrewdly in any other duties that may arise according to the needs of FBB and this role.

Operations Assistant

You will be joining the side of the team which functions as the glue that holds the organisation together and plays a key role enabling Football Beyond Borders to fight for a world in which young people have the opportunities to become all that they can be. This is a role with lots of opportunities for development and progression, where you will be working collaboratively with different departments of the organisation and learn skills required to ensure smooth running of operations. You’ll be joining one of the fastest growing social sector organisations in the UK and contributing to the development of current and establishment of new organisational operations processes.

The person placed in this role will work within the Operations team to assist the management of the organisation’s operational systems and processes as well as oversee the management of FBB premises. The core operational responsibilities for this role will be but are not limited to the areas of Finance, IT Security, Data Protection and organisational policies compliance. They will be supporting the implementation of new organisational processes, procedures and policies as well as be responsible for the day to day monitoring of these.
