Sky Sports presenter Kate Abdo swapped roles with FBB Schools participant Jannah for an ‘FBB TV Meets’, and Jannah’s first ever interview was so successful its exclusive news was shared across some of the biggest sites on the internet – with the video being viewed almost 30,000 times and counting!
Jannah, 11, from Henry Fawcett primary school, quizzed the former Ballon d’Or host and current Revista de La Liga presenter on some of her early interviews – including Champions League winner Clarence Seedorf! – and Kate opened up about what it’s really like for an up and coming journalist – just like Jannah.
And in amongst the advice, Jannah managed to bag her first exclusive as Kate revealed some surprising news about Barcelona striker Neymar. While the Brazilian forward is best friends with Lionel Messi, it was actually Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo who first acted as Neymar’s ‘guide’ at the Ballon d”or awards.
The news didn’t go unnoticed, with the likes of 101 great goals, Daily Mail, Goal, Mirror, Independent, Bleacher Report, and even Bild in Germany and Sport in Spain all picking up the story on their websites – not bad for Jannah’s first ever interview!
Shout out to my favourite TV host Jannah 👍🏾👌🏾❤️💋 https://t.co/vGcLDEk4gc

As well as providing Jannah’s first scoop, Kate insisted any young aspiring female journalists should not be afraid to get into the field and not worry about entering a male environment.
Kate also talked about why she loves football, sharing many of FBB’s core values.
“Football brings people together,” she said. “It doesn’t matter where you come from, what your background is, how much money you have, what your parents are like, because you’re all there for the same purpose, you all care about the same things.”
