Fundraising & Female Participation Coordinator

From October 2016, we expanded our FBB Schools programme to deliver 18 programmes across south and east London, including two FFEM (Female, Fitness, Education & Maintenance) programmes. This means we are looking for a committed, passionate and talented Fundraising & Female Participation Coordinator to help us continue to grow the charity and support our female participation role.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of community fundraising and managing multiple projects independently. We’re also looking for someone who has a track record of putting their ideas into action – whether through starting their own project, putting on their own events or creating their own organisation.

The role will involve a combination of supporting the organisation’s strategic priorities relating to fundraising, events and strategic partnerships, helping to increase FBB’s core unrestricted income and working closely with us to increase female participation across our programmes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Fundraising & Female Participation Coordinator

Reports To: Head of Communications & Community

Purpose: To support the organisation’s strategic priorities relating to fundraising, events and strategic partnerships, helping to increase FBB’s core unrestricted income through a focus on improving supporter care, maintaining an up-to-date CRM system, and improved communication with volunteers and supporters around events and stewardship. Alongside this, the new recruit will be supported to become a key leader in developing FBB’s female participation work.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide high quality stewardship of new supporters, volunteers and (first time) fundraisers demonstrating high levels of relationship management and understanding of the supporter/donor journey. This will include tasks like thanking, venue liaison and organising .volunteer training days.

· Steward a portfolio of fundraisers and community events, providing guidance and support to help increase supporter/donor involvement and fundraising income.

· Use our CRM database (Donorfy) to accurately record, monitor, retrieve and update a range of information, e.g. information that may relate to supporters/donors, community fundraising activities, initial enquiries, event participation, etc.

· Support Community and Corporate Fundraising Managers to put on high quality fundraising activities and events (e.g. quizzes, challenge events and set-piece events), attending internal and external events where appropriate.

· Collate and distribute community fundraising materials to ensure appropriate resourcing at events.

· To work closely with our Head of Female Participation to increase Female participation in our community programmes and seek funding and recognition for our female participation work, with the potential to deliver one day a week in schools on our FFEM programme.

· Undertake any other reasonable duties that are consistent with the skills, abilities and position of this role as directed by your managers.

Person Specification

Essential

● Experience of community fundraising and volunteer/ supporter stewardship.
● Experience of managing complex projects, events and timelines to a tight schedule
● Experience of working closely with young female leaders to push forward the cause of female participation
● Experience of working in the charity sector and working with key stakeholders in a variety of roles

● Ability to project manage with ease, using GANT-charts and spreadsheets to track, monitor and evaluate progress
● Able to use effective oral and written skills to communicate, influence and persuade a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
● Able to work independently and as part of a team.
● Effective time-management with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and to work flexibly as agreed with the line manager.
● Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relational databases

● Target-oriented but also able to see the bigger picture.
● Self-starter who is always ready to take initiative and make decisions without constant guidance
● Fantastic at building closer relationships with staff, supporters and corporate partners
● Resilient and determined to achieve their targets
● Confident communicator both inface to face and phone interactions
● Ambitious and hungry for leadership roles
● Passionate about increasing Female Participation and pushing an equality and diversity agenda in order to produce, manipulate and present information to diverse audiences.
● Able to update and manage CRM systems & communicate CRM priorities to senior leadership team.

Terms and Conditions

  • This is a full time role working 40 hours per week.
  • Conditions of Service will be those as set in the FBB staff contract.
  • Annual leave entitlement will be 26 days (not inclusive of bank holidays).
