FOOTBALL BEYOND BORDERS COLLABORATE WITH YIZZY FOR HIS HUSTLE HARD MUSIC VIDEO
BRINGING FOOTBALL AND MUSIC TOGETHER TO PROMOTE EDUCATION.
Football and music go hand-in-hand, but we aren’t talking about tacky World Cup songs. Few things unite people quite like sport and art do, so Football Beyond Borders were delighted to link up with South London grime artist Yizzy.
Runner up of Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent award, Yizzy’s latest track Hustle Hard now features on FIFA 20, and the artist visited the Football Beyond Borders offices in Brixton to shoot the song’s video and speak with our young participants. “Hustle Hard is all about being unapologetically active & driven to succeed. It's about always looking for the next step or opportunity to move forward. The work you put in now will open doors for you to have a better future for yourself and those around you but priorities still come first” - Yizzy.
It is a mentality and ethos that speaks to the work that we do at FBB. Speaking with young participants, Yizzy wants to use his platform to support the work of FBB and show more young people that they can achieve their dreams.

While visiting FBB and shooting the video, Yizzy was interviewed by Versus, the first platform dedicated to showcasing the cultural convergence happening across the worlds of sport, music, and style. Speaking to Jacob Davey, Yizzy discussed the link between his music and FBB and the rationale for the collaboration, “I love what Football Beyond Borders are doing with young kids in the area. The kids come down here to try and better themselves. They train all the time, every single week. Mix that with my story, and what I’m doing with music, it was just natural for me to film it here. The idea of “hustling hard” and bettering yourself. I feel like this is going to be something special.”
Engaging and working with talented people like Yizzy helps us at Football Beyond Borders achieve our goals of developing and championing young people across England. If you haven’t already, you can check out Yizzy’s video with FBB participants and staff on YouTube.
