Football Beyond Borders successfully launched the first ever Kickr Academy with the completion of a 10 week programme. The programme was created to enable people who had not played the game before to learn and develop a passion for the game. The programme has an emphasis of being inclusive, fun, and providing a way for people to get fit.
As the co-founder of Kickr Academy Rob Levy said “I was left out of football at school because I had never been taught. That’s why I launched Kickr Academy, a football school for complete beginners, men and women. I wanted to bring a bit of inclusivity back into sport. I wanted to properly learn how to kick a ball, where to stand when I wasn’t kicking the ball, how to avoid being tackled by my six-year-old nephew. And I wanted to do that in a way that focused on fun, rather than the usual macho sporting attitude. It’s really fun and relaxed, and it’s for both genders.”
We are now running Kickr Academy II, with the plan to run two sessions, one for beginners and one intermediate session on Monday evening’s at Manor House. For more information, please email Rob Levy at firstname.lastname@example.org or register here!
