FBB Recruiting: Full Time Project Lead for our FBB Schools programme

From October 2016, we will be expanding our FBB Schools programme to deliver 18 programmes across south and east London. This means we are looking for a committed, passionate and talented FBB Schools Project Lead to join our rapidly growing charity in a full time role.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of delivering educational programmes to young people and managing multiple projects independently. We’re also looking for someone who has a track record of putting their ideas into action – whether through starting their own project, putting on their own events or creating their own organisation.

The role will involve a combination of delivering 5 of our FBB Schools sessions in the classroom and on the pitch and of developing ‘FBB Academies’  – our community football coaching programme.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: FBB Schools – Project Lead

Reports To: Head of Delivery

Purpose: The role will be to lead on the delivery of the FBB Schools football and education programme at schools across south and east London. The role will also involve supporting the organisation in setting up community based, pay-to-play football sessions.

 

Main Duties

  1. Lead on the delivery of up to 5 of FBB’s school based football and education sessions
  2. Lead on the ongoing evaluation and monitoring of individual sessions, participant performance and programme outcomes
  3. Lead on the development and delivery of tailored interventions for our participants
  4. Manage the team of staff members and volunteers on each of your FBB School programmes
  5. Support our Head of Education in the ongoing review and development of our football themed, literacy curriculum
  6. Lead on the development of our community based, pay-to-play football session

Duties of the post could vary from time to time as a result of new legislation, changes in technology or policy / needs of an individual participant, in this event appropriate training will be provided.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of delivering educational sessions to young people
  • Experience of developing and delivering your own project, programme, or creating your own organisation
  • Experience of managing and monitoring the progress of multiple projects simultaneously
  • A hunger to learn and an ability to respond to feedback and learn from your mistakes
  • A passion for football
  • A commitment to using sport as a vehicle to support young people to achieve their goals

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a school environment, preferably as a teacher or teaching assistant
  • Experience of coaching football to young people aged between 8 and 16
  • Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour
  • Qualified FA coach
  • Confident user of the following social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube
  • Full driver’s licence and own car

 

Terms and Conditions

  • This is a full time role working 40 hours per week.
  • Conditions of Service will be those as set in the FBB staff contract.
  • Annual leave entitlement will be 26 days (not inclusive of bank holidays).

  • Salary will be competitive and dependant on experience.
