FBB Productions joins forces with ConnectSport to showcase Sport for social development

Football Beyond Borders’ digital agency and social enterprise, FBB Productions, has joined forces with ConnectSport to provide digital media and short-form video services to the community sport sector.

Founded in 2011, ConnectSport is the media platform dedicated to showcasing and sharing the best of community sport and sport for social development. It highlights the work of any organisation or campaign, from charities and the public sector to big brands and professional clubs using sport for social outcomes, including health and wellbeing, social inclusion, crime reduction, equality and diversity.

A registered Social Enterprise, with all of its profits going towards the work of Football Beyond Borders, FBB Productions offer a range of services including video and post-production support, for example helping clients to maximise the use of short films through social media. It is also committed to working towards providing sustainable employment opportunities for young people engaged with FBB.

The company has produced interviews with Premier League stars such as Gary Neville, Yaya Toure, Yannick Bolasie
and Santi Cazorla, and worked with charities and campaigns such as Kick It Out, Tackle Africa and Sporteducate.

Head of FBB Productions, Nick Connell, said: “Both ConnectSport and FBB Productions are committed to
helping community sport organisations showcase their fantastic work to a wider audience.

“Working with ConnectSport, we hope to broaden the appeal of FBB Productions and, at the same time, help more
young people from low-income backgrounds obtain the key skills required to pursue a career in the media.”

Simon Lansley, Managing Director of ConnectSport, said: “Both Nick and I spent many years working in national
media and with sports governing bodies, before focusing on sport for social impact. It’s something we are both very
passionate about, and have committed our careers to.”

“We hope this partnership will help enable more charities and grassroots organisations to tell their stories and drive awareness of the amazing work they are doing every day in communities across the UK.”
