Big Give Campaign Success: FBB Holiday Programme

Earlier this month, we ran a Big Give campaign asking for FBB supporters to come together to help create a brand new, unique FBB Holiday Programme.

We are delighted that as a result of your generosity, we hit our target and raised the money to proceed with the project! Your donations have made this possible and we’d like to offer our sincerest thanks on behalf of our team and the young people we work with.

During the term-time we deliver our football themed curriculum to young people with behavioural issues who are at risk of exclusion. During the school holidays, these young people are unable to afford to access any holiday programmes. We and wider research have noticed that this holiday period of inactivity leads to deterioration in the progress achieved by FBB during the term-time.

The programme you have funded will be used to prevent this from happening.

Our holiday project will be available to young people who are already engaged with FBB during the term-time. The children will participate in a project aimed at identifying whether there is adequate investment in football in their community. This will involve participation in focus groups, self-guided research and practical activities, culminating in the compilation of a final product for presentation. The classroom learning will be supplemented by football sessions.

Once again a massive thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen.

From the FBB Team.
