7th MAY Community Event: Why is it important for FBB?

Join the #FBBFamily for what promises to be the biggest football community event in London this year! The FBB Community Cup is taking place on Sunday 7th May, hosted at the stadium of our charity partner Dulwich Hamlet Football Club (SE5 8AP), and aims to raise £20k.

By bringing together FBB supporters, non-league football fans, music stars, local businesses and members of the local community, we hope to transform the lives of young people through the power of football.

Funds raised on the day will enable us to continue our work with young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Schools are facing significant funding cuts (8% decline in real terms) and cannot pay for the cost of the FBB Schools programme. If we do not find a solution by September, we will have to cut back on our weekly programmes that support over 350 young people.

So, we are calling on the local community to come together and show their support, on this day of football and fun for everyone!

We aim to raise £20k on the day so we can continue to run our programmes which work to tackle educational underachievement and social exclusion for young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The showcase match will feature the likes of Rudimental, Dulwich Hamlet’s Ibra Sekajja and Gavin Rose, Copa 90’s Poet, Vuj and Timbsy, Hughwizzy and Smiv from Palmers FC!
